Youth Mental Health First Aid
Youth Mental Health First Aid ( YMHFA) is a skills-based training that teaches parents, family members, care givers, teachers, school staff, camp staff, peers, neighbors and health and human services workers and any other adult how to identify, understand and respond to an adolescent (age 12-18) who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge.
Tailored YMHFA training for your organization
Here are three different ways the training can take place. Each training also will include a facilitator fee. Trainings can be with 5-30 people.
Online Youth Mental Health First Aid Training
- 2 hours of asynchronous pre-work for each participant
- 6 hours of Instructor Led Session on Zoom (may be done in one day or split into two 3-hour sessions, no more than 1-week apart)
- Every participant must join using their own device
- 30 participants per class maximum, 5 participants per class minimum
- $23.95/participant
Blended Youth Mental Health First Aid Training
- 2 hours of asynchronous pre-work for each participant
- 6 hours of Instructor led session in person (may be done in one day or split into two 3-hour sessions, no more than 1-week apart)
- 30 participants per class maximum, 5 participants per class minimum
- $23.95/participant
In-Person Youth Mental Health First Aid Training
- 8 hours of Instructor led session in person (may be done in one day or split into two 4-hour sessions, no more than 1-week apart)
- 30 participants per class maximum, 5 participants per class minimum
- $28.90/participant for Manual and Participant Processing Guide OR $18.95/participant for Manual and can make copies of Participant Processing Guide
